Organic Golden Needle

Aiguille d'Or is a certified organic Chinese black tea. Its shiny needle-shaped leaves and a few golden buds give the infusion a subtle aromatic quality. Its woody and spicy flavor is embellished with gourmet notes of dark chocolate and hazelnuts.

Black teas from China are characterized by their "camellia sinensis" tea plant which produces smaller and finer leaves than the "camellia assamica" which is the type of tea plant from Assam, Ceylon and southern India ( as well as many other sources). The "sinensis" gives a finer tea and less strong in theine but very aromatic. The best qualities have beautiful whole leaves.
