Keemun (祁門紅茶) is a classic Chinese black tea from Qimen district, Anhui province in China, here from certified organic natural cultivation.

Black teas from China are characterized by their "camellia sinensis" tea plant which produces smaller and finer leaves than the "camellia assamica" which is the kind of tea plant from Assam, Ceylon and southern India ( as well as many other sources). “Sinensis” produces a finer tea with less caffeine content but is very aromatic. The best grades have nice, whole leaves.
