This black tea comes from the Yunan province in China. Its leaves dried over a wood fire enrich its taste of wood and spices with a light smoky note, and give new vigor to its already powerful character.
Black teas from China are characterized by their "camellia sinensis" tea plant which produces smaller and finer leaves than the "camellia assamica" which is the type of tea plant from Assam, Ceylon and southern India ( as well as many other sources). “Sinensis” produces a finer tea with less caffeine content but is very aromatic. The best grades have nice, whole leaves.
