Recipe - Little Christmas Cookies with Tea




125 g butter

125 g sugar

1 egg

1 pinch of salt

250 g flour

Christmas tea (black tea) or Christmas Star (Rooibos)

icing sugar

Cream the butter, sugar, egg and salt.

Grind 2 tbsp. to s. of tea, pass the ground tea through a strainer to remove the pieces and keep only the powder. Add 3-4 tbsp. c. of this cream powder, then add the sifted flour. Mix, form a ball and refrigerate for a few hours. Roll out the dough to 1cm thick, cut out shapes and place on a baking sheet lined with baking sheet. Bake for ten minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degrees. Place on a wire rack and sprinkle the still warm biscuits with icing sugar mixed with a little tea powder.

To be enjoyed with, for example, an excellent Oolong !
