The Darjeeling region, located at the beginning of the Himalayas in northeast India, is characterized by its high altitude and steep hillsides. Its leaves react to the action of an insect and give the tea a characteristic muscat aroma. It is harvested from spring to autumn, but it is its spring (First Flush) and summer (Second Flush) harvests that are the most sought after for their exceptional taste characteristics. They are very different from each other.
