What is a Gyokuro?
Gyokuro (玉露), or "precious dew," is one of Japan's most prized green teas. Its cultivation is distinguished by a specific method: the tea plants are placed in the shade for three weeks prior to picking. Protected from sunlight, the tea develops a large amount of chlorophyll, resulting in a deep green infusion and a unique flavor.
