A vintage Gyokuro from the traditional gardens of Kagoshima, cultivated using controlled organic methods. A magnificent green tea with a smooth, straightforward flavor and a slightly fruity, vegetal note.
Softer and lighter than the Gyokuro Finest and Imperial , it retains Umami notes and a great complexity of taste which evolves harmoniously in the mouth.
What is a Gyokuro?
Gyokuro (玉露), or "precious dew," is one of Japan's most prized green teas. Its cultivation is distinguished by a specific method: the tea plants are placed in the shade for three weeks prior to picking. Protected from sunlight, the tea develops a large amount of chlorophyll, resulting in a deep green infusion and a unique flavor. This exceptional tea will amaze you with the complexity of its aromas, its richness on the palate, and its depth of taste.
