Hibiscus / Carcadet

The hibiscus flower (bissap / Empire tea in Senegal) is a plant with many benefits originating from Guinea. Its dark red flowers give a bright red, powerful and tangy infusion.
This drink has many names depending on where it is drunk.
Carcadet / Karkadé in Egypt, Thé Rose d'Abyssinie, Dableni in Mali, Djoussouma Tchireye in Timbuktu, Djisma Tchiré in Benin, Ngai Ngai in Congo and Folléré in Cameroon.
