Matcha (抹茶, literally "ground tea") is a powdered green tea, originally used in the famous art of the tea ceremony in Japan. The tea leaves are ground into a fine powder which does not infuse, but must be mixed with non-boiling water and whisked (traditionally chashaku (茶杓) and chasen (茶筅) are used for this). a scoop and a bamboo whisk) until you obtain a uniform and foamy liquid.
