Mulled wine recipe No. 1: Slow infusion for 1 liter of mulled wine:
1. Incorporate the following ingredients into a large saucepan:
- 150ml water
- 20 gr of “Vin Chaud” spice mix
- 75 g brown sugar hanging
2. Heat everything, stirring regularly and without boiling, for 15 minutes.
3. Add 7.5 dl of red wine (use a fruity wine if possible).
4. Leave to infuse for 8 hours in the fridge.
5. Remove the “Vin Chaud” spices using a strainer.
6. Gently heat the mulled wine again without boiling it.
7. Add 1/2 lemon and 1/2 orange.
8. Serve
Mulled wine recipe No. 2: Quick infusion for 1 liter of mulled wine:
1. In a large saucepan, add all of the following ingredients at once:
- 150ml water
- 20 gr of “Vin Chaud” spice mix
- 75 g brown sugar hanging
- 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 orange
2. Heat everything, stirring regularly and without boiling, for 20 minutes.
3. Turn off the heat and let sit for 20 to 30 minutes or more.
4. Remove the “Vin Chaud” spices using a strainer.
5. Heat the mulled wine again if necessary.
6. Serve
