White peony also called Bai Mu Dan (白牡丹) is a white tea from the Fujian province in China, the land of origin of white tea. The mixture of green leaves and white buds makes it a refined and subtle tea which requires a gentle and slow infusion (6 minutes for a Western infusion).
Its taste, close to green tea, denotes freshness and floral vitality. Its transparent green infusion remains light and subtle. Pivoine Blanche is a distinguished tea, which demands to be savored, to take the time to appreciate its refinement. It is readily reinfused several times.
