The size of the box allows us to put the vast majority of our packages entirely inside (except certain teas or infusions with very large leaves such as Verbena and Linden). For ideal preservation, we therefore recommend that you keep the tea in its original waterproof package, close it with tweezers after use and keep it in the metal box. This will protect the flavors of your tea as much as possible.

How to store your tea?

The tea is very delicate. It doesn't like air, humidity or light. Well insulated, it will retain its flavors which otherwise escape when it is too airy. In addition, tea has the property of absorbing ambient aromas. This is, for example, how jasmine tea is flavored. The tea is exposed several times to fresh jasmine leaves, which through capillary action perfume the green tea and give it its unique flowery taste. For good conservation, you must therefore avoid exposing the tea to other strong, unwanted flavors in a kitchen for example.

How long can tea be stored?

In general, the fresher the tea, the better it will be. Then, it all depends on the environment in which the tea is stored. Well-preserved tea can still be delicious years after being picked.

Note with the exception of pu-erh teas which have the particularity of improving over time.
