New Grand Cru – Gyokuro Maejima 2025 – Limited Quantities
This exceptionally rare Gyokuro comes from the Asahina district in Shizuoka, one of the three historic regions of Gyokuro production in Japan. Grown from the Okumidori cultivar, this tea is hand-picked by a team of around ten people over the course of an entire day, selecting only the most tender leaves. It is then crafted using a fully artisanal process and unique expertise, resulting in a truly remarkable tea.
Produced by Master Maejima, a third-generation tea artisan, this Gyokuro offers a refined infusion with soft floral notes and a deep, balanced umami. Its elegant profile and lingering finish are simply exceptional.
A grand tea to be savored slowly — and one we are truly proud to share with you.
Gyokuro (玉露), or “jade dew,” is one of Japan’s most esteemed green teas. Its cultivation is unique: the tea bushes are shaded for three weeks before harvest. Protected from direct sunlight, the leaves develop a high concentration of chlorophyll and L-theanine, resulting in a deep green liquor and a uniquely rich flavor.
This exceptional tea surprises with its aromatic complexity, depth of taste, and umami richness — a true sensory experience.
